Veterans Programs

Elks pledge “So long as there are veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them.” The Elks National Veterans Service Commission and our Lodge takes that pledge one step further, and promises service to our nation’s veterans and military members, with a special focus on service to those in need.

Elks National Veterans Service Commission has declared November, details of the news release can be found at: Veterans Remembrance Month Release

As we enter into the month of November you may remember that we ask for donations to go into Care packages for deployed as well as Homeless Vets that our Outreach Programs help.  We will be doing that again at the Fall Quarterly, November 2nd – 4th, and ask for any donation you or your Lodge can make.

We have also recently adopted a National Guard unit that is in the process of deploying for a year.  We are asking also for donations of unwrapped toys for the children of these Soldiers.

The Colorado Elks Association Veterans Committee will be contacting Lodges soon to see if we want to buy tickets to an Avalanche game against the Minnesota Wild.  We can buy these tickets for either ourself of we can buy them and send a Veteran.  The game falls on Wednesday January 23rd which happens to be the 159th Birthday of the National Guard.  Additional Details can be found at: ColoradoElks & ColoradoNational Guard Night
